When coins move, the chain shows the price they last moved at. This page runs that profit check for every age of coin, from a week old to ten years and up.

Each row includes everything older than it: the one-week row counts every coin over a week old, the one-year row every coin over a year. The rows overlap by design, so they are never added together.
A ratio of 1.0 is breakeven. Old coins almost always sell far above it because they were bought years ago at much lower prices, so the number to watch is the change: old hands letting go at shrinking multiples, or at a loss, has been rare and worth attention.
Moving is not the same as selling. These figures count every coin that changed addresses, including coins someone shuffled between their own wallets and the change that comes back from a normal payment. Read the levels as honest ceilings, not exact sales figures.
What does this mean for you?
Most days, the coins that move are young and the old coins sit still. That makes the old rungs of this ladder quiet most of the time, and loud exactly when it matters: when coins that sat for five or ten years start moving, someone with years of patience decided this price was the one to act on.
Past cycle peaks saw old coins cashing in at huge multiples; past bottoms saw even patient holders letting coins go near or below cost. Either way, this is a read on what long-held coins actually did, not a prediction or advice to buy or sell.
Understanding Bitcoin SOPR by Coin Age
Every coin that moves carries a receipt: the price it last moved at. Compare that with the price it moves at now and you know whether it went at a profit or a loss. This page runs that check as a ladder of minimum ages: coins at least a week old, at least a month, on up to coins that sat for ten years or more.
The technical name for the check is SOPR, short for Spent Output Profit Ratio: the sale value of moved coins divided by their value when they last moved. A reading of 1.0 is breakeven. Old coins usually post big numbers because they were bought years ago at far lower prices; a ten-year coin moving at three hundred times its old price is normal arithmetic, not a signal by itself.
The signal is in the change. Old hands letting coins go at shrinking multiples, or near breakeven, has been rare; the biggest waves of old-coin profit-taking clustered near past market peaks, and old coins moving at a loss has marked the most washed-out stretches in Bitcoin's history.
Each rung of the ladder includes everything older than it, so the rungs overlap by design and are never added together. On days when no coins of a given age move at all, that rung simply has no reading, which is itself information: the old hands sat still.
