1. Acceptance
By using maketo.com (“Maketo”, the “Service”, or “we”), you accept these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use Maketo.
2. Eligibility
Maketo is intended for readers aged 16 or over. If you are under 16, please do not use the Service.
You may not use Maketo if you are located in, or are an ordinary resident of, any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive economic sanctions administered by the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the United Kingdom, the European Union, or the United Nations — including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, the Crimea region, and the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics — or if you are an individual or entity on the U.S. Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list or equivalent restricted-party list.
You agree not to use Maketo where doing so would be unlawful in your jurisdiction.
3. Education only — not financial advice
Maketo is a market-intelligence and education service. The content on this site is general information for a general audience. It is not personalised to you, your circumstances, your portfolio, your tax situation, or your jurisdiction. Nothing on Maketo is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold Bitcoin or any other asset; nothing here is an offer or solicitation; and nothing here should be treated as investment advice, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, or accounting advice.
Bitcoin is a high-risk asset. Its price can fall sharply and you can lose some or all of the money you put into it. Before making any decision about Bitcoin, you should do your own research and, if appropriate, consult a financial adviser who is authorised in your jurisdiction.
Maketo does not execute trades, hold any cryptoassets on your behalf, or provide any brokerage, custody, deposit, or settlement services. Maketo does not have an API for automated access. We are publishers, not advisers.
If you are in the United Kingdom: this site is intended as general information and is not a financial promotion within the meaning of section 21 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. We do not invite or induce you to invest in any cryptoasset. If you are uncertain whether to invest, you should seek advice from a person authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.
If you are in the European Union: Maketo’s content is general educational commentary, not a personal recommendation about a specific financial instrument within the meaning of MiFID II, and not a marketing communication within the meaning of MiCA Articles 6 or 7.
If you are in Australia: any content on this site that could be construed as financial-product advice is general advice only. It does not take into account your objectives, financial situation, or needs.
4. No solicitation
No content on Maketo constitutes an offer to sell, a solicitation of an offer to buy, or a recommendation in respect of any security, cryptoasset, derivative, or other financial product. Maketo does not solicit business from anyone in any jurisdiction where doing so would be unlawful.
5. Risk warning
Bitcoin is a high-risk asset. Its price has historically been highly volatile, and you can lose all of the money you put into it. Bitcoin is not protected by the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the US Securities Investor Protection Corporation, or by similar deposit-protection schemes in most jurisdictions. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Do your own research before making any decision.
