Gap too small to tell from luck for 28 of 29 kinds.
This chart lists 29 kinds of level. For each one a dot shows how many times in 100 it turned the price back, and a hollow tick shows the same count for spots at the same distance from the price. A hollow dot means too few touches to say.
Use the up and down arrow keys to move between kinds of level, Home and End to jump to the first and last, and Escape to let go. Tap or click a row to hold it.
Each row is one kind of level. The dot is how many times in 100 it turned the price back. The hollow tick is the same count for spots at the same distance from the price.

Right now
Of 29 kinds of level measured on every day since 2014, none turned the price back more often than chance once luck is counted, 1 let it through more often, and 28 showed no clear difference.
Measured on past prices from 1 Mar 2014 to 24 Oct 2026. A count is a record, not a forecast.
Which levels turned the price back more often than chance?

Which went through more often?
1 of the 29 kinds.
Turned back 237 of 506 times, went through 269. Spots at the same distance: 52 in 100.

What about the rest?
28 of the 29 kinds showed no clear difference from spots at the same distance. The walls of coins are first, counted the same way as every other kind. Every kind is in the table below, and a kind with fewer than 30 touches says it has too few to say.

How fast does the price move through fresh ground?
The price spent 22.1% of the last 30 days within a day's move (1.3%) of today's price. Since 2014, from a share like that it took a median 29 hours to move a day's move up or down; where it had spent over 60%, 50 hours, and under 5%, 11 hours. This says how fast, not which way.
Fresh ground starts at $87,464 above and $79,180 below: the price spent under 5% of the last month there.
How wide is the week's range?
From today's price of $80,772, one typical week's move either side runs $78,024 to $83,617, and two run $75,369 to $86,562. A week later, the price closed inside the narrow range on 3,252 of 4,614 days and inside the wide range on 4,164.
How was this measured?
Each day we take the levels known the evening before. When the price first reaches one after being away (3 days, or 20 days for walls on the return), we watch the next 7 days: back one day's move (1.3% today) before it gets one day's move beyond, or the reverse. The same levels are then moved to other days' layouts at the same distance from the price, 100 times, and to other prices, 2,000 times, to see how often levels that mean nothing do the same. Measured on past prices; it is not a promise about the next touch.
As a check, evenly spaced lines that know nothing about Bitcoin turned the price back 52 to 54 times in 100. The levels worked out every day are counted afresh each day. The others were measured once, on prices through 24 Oct 2026.
What can this not tell you?
It cannot tell you what the price will do at the next level. A count is a record of past touches, and the price can move through any level. A kind with no clear difference may still have one that too few touches could not show. None of it is advice to buy or sell.
Each day's levels are written down before their outcomes exist, so new days can be checked later.

Where it stands today
Of the kinds of level counted since 2014, 1 of 29 showed a clear difference from spots at the same distance from the price as of .
What does this page show?
Every day, Maketo takes the kinds of price level that traders watch and counts what happened when the price reached one: how many times it turned back and how many times it went through. A level is a price that something marks, such as a thick wall of coins that owners bought, a price with heavy trading, an old high or low, an average buy price, a moving average or a round number. A level under the price is a floor and a level over it is a ceiling. Traders call them support and resistance. Each kind is counted since 2014 and set beside spots at the same distance from the price that mark nothing.
What counts as a touch?
A touch is the first time the price reaches a level after being away from it for 3 days, or for 20 days in the case of walls of coins on the return. From that moment the page watches the next 7 days. If the price moves back one day's move, the size of a normal day's swing over the past month, before it moves one day's move beyond the level, it turned back. If it gets one day's move beyond first, it went through. If neither happens in 7 days, that touch is left out of the counts rather than guessed at.
What are spots at the same distance?
Prices turn back all the time, so a level can turn the price back by luck. To see how much, the same levels are moved to prices that mean nothing, at the same distance from the price, and the same touches are counted. One test moves each level to other prices, 2,000 times. The other puts each day's levels in the place of another day's, 100 times. The count for spots at the same distance is what those copies did on average. A kind of level is only interesting if it does better than they do.
Why is luck counted?
Many kinds of level were tried, and when many are tried a few look good by luck alone. So a kind is not treated as different just because its own count looks better. It counts only when the gap clears a stricter test that allows for every kind measured, and when it also holds against spots at the same distance. That is why a kind can look better than the spots beside it and still be listed with no clear difference.
What does no clear difference mean?
No clear difference means that, with the touches counted, the kind did not do better or worse than spots at the same distance by more than luck can explain. It is not proof that the kind never matters. Few touches can only show a big gap, so the table lists the smallest gap each kind's touches can reliably show, and a gap smaller than that could still be luck. A kind with too few touches is given no result at all.
What is fresh ground?
Fresh ground is a stretch of prices the price has barely visited lately. For each day, the page looks at the last 30 days of hourly prices and counts how many were within one day's move of that day's price. Where the price spent under 5% of the month near its price, the ground around it is fresh, and over 60% it is packed. The table gives the median number of hours it took, in the past, to move one day's move up or down from each starting point. It is about speed only. It says nothing about which way the price goes.
What is the week's range?
The week's range is one typical week's move up and down from the price. The narrow range is one such move and the wide range is two. A typical week's move is worked out from how much the price moved each day over the last 30 days. The page counts, for every day since 2014, whether the price a week later closed inside each range. It is a record of where the price ended up, not a forecast of where it will.
Does a past record confirm anything?
No. Every count comes from replaying past prices with rules that were written down after those prices had been seen, so a replay cannot confirm anything on its own. Each day's levels are written down before their outcomes exist, so new days can be checked later, at fixed dates. Until a check clears, a kind of level is only described, never recommended, and nothing here is advice to buy or sell.
