The combined holdings of every company on this page, every day since the first disclosure we read. A reported holding stays where it is until a new figure moves it, so a flat stretch usually means no new figure was published rather than nobody bought.

Where it stands today

What a corporate treasury is
Bitcoin a company holds on its own balance sheet, rather than on behalf of customers. A listed company that does this has to tell its regulator. Of the 46 company figures here, 44 come from filings with regulators, 1 from a press release and 1 from an investor page. The table names the document behind each company's figure.
Why this total is smaller than you might read elsewhere
It covers the 48 companies whose documents we read line by line, which is fewer than every company in the world that owns Bitcoin. Other trackers count differently, some of them including holdings nobody has published a document for, so a total here will not always match a total there. Treating a tracked total as a market total is the easiest way to be wrong while quoting a correct number.
Why a line goes flat
A reported holding stays where it is until a new figure moves it. A flat stretch on either chart usually means nothing new was published, not that nobody bought anything, and the daily history is the part most trackers leave out.
Why each company gets its own page
The interesting question is not how much a company owns today, it is when it bought and whether it has ever sold. Where a company has a page, its holding is drawn day by day since its first disclosure. A company gets one once we have read enough of its documents to draw a line we would stand behind, and until then it is counted in the totals here without being linked. How these figures are put together.
