What is spot trading volume?
Spot trading volume is how much Bitcoin changed hands outright on Binance over the day: coins bought and sold for money, with the coins themselves changing owner. Every coin bought was also sold, so it counts the trading once, not twice.
Why more than one line?
It is shown in coins and in dollars because the two answer different questions: the coin figure says how much Bitcoin actually moved, and the dollar figure says how much money did. In a year when the price doubles, dollar volume can double while the same quantity of Bitcoin trades.
What does it tell you?
A busy day says a lot changed owner, not which side won. For that, the same spot trading is split on a page of its own into the buying and the selling that took a price already on offer. Bets on the price made in a futures market are a different thing: they never move a coin, and they are never added to this figure.
