The dollar against a broad group of currencies
A higher index means a stronger dollar. Each currency’s weight reflects trade with the US. The Bitcoin line shows its closing price in US dollars on each reference date.
Dollars per euro
A rising number means one euro buys more US dollars. The Bitcoin line shows its closing price in US dollars on each reference date.
Changes in how these figures are measured
- The broad dollar measure’s currency weights changed in June 2019. The index uses January 2006 as its base of 100.
