BITCOIN SPOT TAKER VOLUME BY EXCHANGE
How Much Spot Bitcoin Is Bought at the Price on Offer on Each Exchange?
Every exchange whose spot trades we record, ranked by the money that bought Bitcoin at a price already on offer rather than queueing, on its latest day. Each exchange's own page shows the selling beside it. This is the spot market only: bets on the price made in futures are counted apart.

Across the whole market
Buying and selling across every exchange has a page of its own. This page ranks each exchange and never adds them up, so it does not repeat that number.
What can't this tell you?
Buying at the price on offer says which side was in a hurry, not which way the price goes next. A day of heavy buying can still close lower.
Understanding
Bitcoin Spot Taker Volume by Exchange
Where it stands today
Binance leads the 6 exchanges we compare on spot buying at the price on offer, at $792.4 million as of .
What is spot taker volume?
Every trade has a buyer and a seller, and one of them was waiting at a chosen price while the other took the price on offer. Taker buying is money that took a price someone was offering to sell at. This ranking reads that side on each exchange's spot market, where the coins themselves change owner.
Why rank the buying side?
Each exchange's page leads with its buying at the price on offer, so the ranking reads the same number its cards print. Each page shows the selling beside it.
Is this the futures market?
No. These are spot trades, where coins change owner. Bets on the price made in a futures market are a different reading, counted apart and never added here.
Why is nothing added up?
These are separate exchanges measuring the same thing, so adding two of them together would produce a number that describes no market. Each bar in the ranking is how large that row is next to the largest row in the table, never a share of a total.
Why only some exchanges?
We do not publish it for every exchange yet, and a reading gets a page of its own only once it has two weeks of daily history. Six exchanges have a page for it today, each a card here, and a new one appears on the day its page does.
Where do the numbers come from?
Maketo records them at each exchange, one reading a day. Nothing here is bought in.
