These readings describe bets people have already placed. None says which way the price goes next, and none is advice to buy or sell.

Understanding
Bitcoin Liquidations by Exchange

Where it stands today

Binance leads the 5 exchanges we compare on liquidations, at $35.4 million as of 28 Sep 2026.

Liquidations: $87.4 million closed out in a day, over 4,769 positions as of 28 Sep 2026.

What is a liquidation?

A liquidation is a bet the exchange closed by force because the money behind it ran out. A wave of them can push the price further in the direction it was already moving.

Why rank the bets on a rise?

Each exchange's page leads with the bets on a rise that were closed out, so the ranking reads the same number its cards print. Each page shows the bets on a fall beside them.

Why is nothing added up?

These are separate exchanges measuring the same thing, so adding two of them together would produce a number that describes no market. Each bar in the ranking is how large that row is next to the largest row in the table, never a share of a total.

Why doesn't every exchange have it?

Not every exchange offers a feed of the bets it closes, and a reading gets a page of its own only once it has two weeks of daily history. Five exchanges have a page for it today, each a card here, and a new one appears on the day its page does.

Where do the numbers come from?

Maketo records them at each exchange, one reading a day. Nothing here is bought in.
