Across the whole market
Funding across every exchange has a page of its own. This page ranks each exchange and never adds them up, so it does not repeat that number.
What can't these readings tell you?
These readings describe bets people have already placed. None says which way the price goes next, and none is advice to buy or sell.
Understanding
Bitcoin Funding Rate by Exchange
Where it stands today
Bitget leads the 7 exchanges we compare on funding rate, at 0.0212% a day, paid by bets on a rise as of .
What is a funding rate?
A funding rate is the fee one side of a perpetual futures bet pays the other to keep the bet tied to the spot price. When bets on a rise pay, more people are leaning that way; below zero, bets on a fall are the ones paying.
Why is nothing added up?
These are separate exchanges measuring the same thing, so adding two of them together would produce a number that describes no market. Each bar in the ranking is how large that row is next to the largest row in the table, never a share of a total.
Why only some exchanges?
We do not publish it for every exchange yet, and a reading gets a page of its own only once it has two weeks of daily history. Seven exchanges have a page for it today, each a card here, and a new one appears on the day its page does.
Where do the numbers come from?
Maketo records them at each exchange, one reading a day. Nothing here is bought in.
