LIQUIDATIONS BY PRICE

Where forced closures happened, not where they will happen. Each bar is a price band about 1% wide, and a closure sits in the band the market was trading in during the minute it was recorded. Only exchanges that publish every closure are counted.

What can't this record tell you?

Where forced closures happened, not where they will happen. A busy band is a price the market passed through while many positions were closed out, and nothing here says whether the price returns to it.

Understanding
Bitcoin Liquidations by Price

Where it stands today

The most forced closures over the last 7 days came while the price was between $82,953 and $83,785, $43.0 million in all as of .

A leveraged position is closed by the exchange when the price moves far enough against it. This page places every recorded closure in the price band the market was trading in during the minute it happened, and adds them up band by band.

It is a record of where closures happened. A band with a lot in it is a price the market passed through while many positions were closed out, and nothing on this page says whether the price returns to it.

Up-bets closed out were positions betting on a rise, which the exchange closed by selling. Down-bets closed out were betting on a fall, and were closed by buying. The side named is the position that was closed, not the order that closed it.

Only exchanges that publish every closure are counted. One that sends a sample is left out rather than counted short, and a window counts an exchange only over days it recorded in full, so a longer window can cover fewer exchanges than a shorter one.
